“Can I buy a proper Vizio remote with buttons to use applications? Or, are the apps only located on the tablet remote? I'm looking to buy this set for older people, and I'm not sure they would like to use the tablet to browse Netflix.”

Hi MrLeitungswasser! VIZIO SmartCast devices do not have any installed or built-in applications. Instead you can use any Smart Phone or Tablet to "cast" or "fling" the applications to the display. This allows you access to thousands of applications all in the palm of your hand. Many applications also allow for voice searches to make typing or searching easier.
