QuestionWhats the actual refresh rate for this model? Vizio site has it at 120 hz. Not 60 hz as shown here.

- Answer The native refresh rate does NOT fully describe the TV’s motion clarity technology. The “open cell” or “native” refresh rate describes only the glass panel’s ability to refresh the image on the screen, without taking into account the benefit of the scanning backlight. The “native” refresh rate for this TV is 60Hz. VIZIO’s TVs have an Effective Refresh Rate, which better describes the TV’s ability to achieve motion clarity through the use of its glass panel and scanning backlight. The Effective Refresh Rate for this TV is 120.

Questioncan you tell me the size of the frame surrounding the picture screen

- Answer The plastic frame around the picture screen is very minimal. That is not something that we record, but the dimensions of the TV without the stand are 48.59" x 28.28" x 2.85" and the frame is usually about a half inch or less.

QuestionShould I be concerned by the 60hz refresh rate? Seems kind of low for a premium TV. How does it look on sports?

- Answer None of the content you view on a television with the exception of video games on a computer can utilized a 120hz refresh rate anyway. Live sports are usually recorded at 60 FPS and movies are filmed in a motion blurred 24 FPS. So unless you have a serious gaming PC, you have no reason to worry about the refresh rate. Hope this helps.

QuestionWhat is the refresh rate? In the Vizio website this model has a refresh rate of 120hz but in the bestbuy website this model has a refresh rate of 60hz. Which is it?

- Answer The model that Bestbuy model they sell is the 558 model which has a 120hz. The 557 model is 60hz which Bestbuy doesn't sell.

- Answer No it does not. The 2020 Vizios will have FreeSync though, but this 2019 M series does not. I use a PS4 Pro while gaming in 4K HDR and I have not seen any issues with frame tearing at 30-60fps.

- Answer This television should have just received an update with a built in Disney+ application on the SmartCast input. This television also has both YouTube and YouTube TV built in.

QuestionIs it possible to use the RCA audio out to run all TV audio to powered-RCA speakers? AND will the TV remote be able to control the volume output to that port???

- Answer According to the manual Connecting a device — AUDIO CABLE TYPES Your TV can be output sound to an audio device, such as a receiver or sound bar . 1 . Verify that your device has an audio port that matches an available port on the TV (optical, RCA, etc) . 2 . Connect the appropriate cable (not included) to the TV and the device . 3 . Turn the TV and your device on The above states that the TV will output all audio via RCA and the Optical. Usually, this means that like optical, the volume is controlled by the device that is hooked to it since it is just line voltage sent via RCA. If you dont go into the tv's audio menu, and turn off the TV speakers you will get audio from the TV and through RCA at the same time. The auto setting really only seems to work when connected via HDMI to an AV receiver or soundbar and ARC is enabled.

QuestionI just purchased this TV and set it up on Saturday 12/7. It has turned on by itself at least 5 times and I am not sure why... does anyone have a solution for this? I have changed the HDMI port from Comcast box, I have also reset it.

- Answer Try turning off Consumer Electronics Control (CEC). The tv will turn itself on whenever a device connected to a HDMI powers on. In your case, I am assuming that the TV turns itself on right after the Xfinity set top box does it's nightly update.

QuestionFinally bought this TV but may have to return it. The TV will randomly turn itself on. Unusually in the very early morning hours , 2-3 times a week, I have disabled the CEC as recommended on line but it still turns it self on. ideas?

- Answer Experienced the same problem. After cable company verified all connections and line service were OK, I followed instructions from Vizio and still no positive results. I returned the TV for exchange. I have not had another problem.

QuestionI watch CBC using a VPN service on my iPad. I know that CBC does not have an app for the Smart TV's - so in order to watch it on this TV I would need access to a Web Browser - does anyone know if this is available with this TV?

QuestionI know the HDMI's on this television support HCDP 2.2, HDMI v2.0 600MHz pixel clock rate: 2160p@60fps, 4:4:4, 8-bit, 2160p@60fps, 4:2:2, 12-bit and 2160p@60fps, 4:2:0, 12-bit formats. But are all 4 HDMI's 4k 60HZ ? Are allfour HDMI's 1.4 2.0 ?
