from my understanding it is a 120hz panel, with the "clear action 720/240hz effective rate" I'm not gonna lie I don't know what half of that means, but from my research 120hz panel is the one you want, some are 60hz. Everything I read says that the "motion rates" are just marketing hoopla and the panel rate is the important part, 60 vs 120. Just got the TV today and the picture is amazing on it. Returned a Samsung and got this and its like night and day the difference. the display model in the store did not do it justice at all
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the active refresh rate is 240hz and a clear motion of 720. Not like samsung who is decieving buyers on their tvs with a 60hz refresh rate and clearmotion 120hz. here are all of the specs straight from vizios website http://www.vizio.com/m-series?&gclid=Cj0KEQiAnJqzBRCW0rGWnKnckOIBEiQA6qDBap5SVOGfc7S42Sq7C7Bk_CDXeUBhVKvvJLb_bY0dInsaArHS8P8HAQ
