“While I am a fan of a 65 in TV... Not so much with the 4K resolution. I'm old school and still like the 1080, which to me gives it the depth I prefer. Can this TV be set with a 1080 mode?”

It’s a native 4k resolution however it supports 1080p sources if that’s what you mean. Any TV is technically displaying its native display resolution, whether the source is a lower or higher def just means that image is being up or down converted to the display’s native res.
