this TV has HDR which produces better color. However, until there is more HDR content I wouldn't replace the older TV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There's a couple of things that affect 4k play-back quality. The quality of the screen is only one aspect. Another is the size of the screen in relation to how close you sit to it. If you are sitting more then 6 or 7 feet away from a 65 inch tv, the difference in 4k resolution to 1080 is negligible to the human eye. Also, the other thing to consider is the quality of the 4k blu ray. Many movies are shot or edited in 2k not 4k. Therefore, when you play a 4k blu ray, frequently the movie itself is actually only a 2k master and you don't get the full benefit of 4k resolution.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless you are wanting Features like HDR and Wide Color Gamut then not sure it is worth the Upgrade. P - Series is Higher End TV. My Recommendation is Wait for 2018 Model's to come out (April 10th) and get a P-Series Version for a True upgrade.
