Yes you can make animations with this. When you set it up and connect it to your laptop I will tell you you must have an adapter if you have a laptop. I have a Mac desktop and I went through three adapters before I found the correct one. In order to do animations with this you need to add the software to the Wacom it’s all in the set up They have a touch screen. You just need to make sure you get the one that states touch screen. I would recommend you do a live chat with a Wacom rep. They can tell you exactly the one for your needs

It is like a mouse, but it is easier to use because it is a pen You can draw, edit, movie edit. This version (medium) in particular comes with 3 softawares that you can download. Yes, you can use it with a laptop that has bluetooth. These new versions does not come with finger to touch. Instead they put bluetooth. Which is kind of a bummer to be honest. Touch is such a great feature. Check on youtube, there are a lot of tutorials and reviews.

You will have to have th ability to select your output. Wacom has newer technology and other options (for a price) that serve 3d needs. This monitor is not touch screen, except with the artist's pens/nibs available from Wacom. The software you use will determine the quality of work produced with it. Depending upon your laptop's available input ports, this tablet may or may not need additional help connecting. I have found my Wacom to perform above expectations, and am very happy I bought it. I use Corel Painter 2018, and it performs flawlessly, without limitations.
