• Yes! The mouse will still work independently from the tablet. The tablet itself can also be used as a mouse too. If you do not want to use the tablet, you can unplug it and just use the mouse. If you want to use both, then go ahead! The tablet only works when it's touched by your fiver or pen, and you can use your mouse as well even though the tablet is plugged in. Hopefully that helps!

• Yes it will work independent of your mouse. The lease expensive one doesn't have touch you use a pen only on the tablet.
