    • Answer I think yes. This drive is used internally and is a mechanical drive and is considered 3.5" HDD. I am not familiar with the Dell Optiplex 390, but I see that its specs can accept an internal drive that is 3.5".

    • Answer I would like to say yes. You just have to check the following: 1. The power supply with the desktop has the attachment to power another drive( most likely yes since most power supplies come with extra) 2. You have a spare sata cable and your mother board can accept another hard drive. Just follow the wire from the ssd to the motherboard and if theres another slot youll be good. You just may also need to buy the cable. 3. Your pc case space for an additional drive It should just be plug and play and then some formatting to the drive to make it recognizable by your pc.

  • Questionwhen I add additional 1.0TB hard drive (already have one 90% full), do I need to add additional Corsair Vengeance 16GB desktop memory? There are 2 installed with room for 2 more. Not sure if these work in conjunction with hard drive or independent of.

    • Answer Nope. Hard drives are independent of ram. You just need to make sure you have room in your case, an open sata port on your motherboard and that your power supply can support another device.
