QuestionI've read that the PS4's won't read hard drives over 4TB. Reading some of the reviews, seems this hard drive is being used with the PS4. So is the PS4 able to use all 8TB or only 4?

- Answer I have it on my Xbox1 X, It isn't loud at all. Games are def loading quicker. But that all depends how much space you are taking up on the hard drive. You will tend to have longer load times as the drive has to cycle through more files to access the one you want to load. Both Microsoft and Sony need to implement a defrag setting to keep things loading quicker/smoother. Keep in mind we have new systems on the horizon and these Hard Drive may not be compatible with them.

QuestionWhat is the Warranty for this Drive? WD states all Black Drives have a 5 year warranty but this site states this drive only has a 3 year warranty?.

- Answer I believe the 5yr WD warranty is the factory warranty. Coverage is limited. The 2 or 3 year offered (i forget which they offer) is the bedt buy warranty. If it breaks, bring it in and swap it out as long as it doesn't look like you beat it up. I personally always prefer Best Buy's hassle free warranties. Hope that helps.

QuestionI want to use this to play movies on my television. The PC has a eject option for external hard drives, but the TV does not. What is the power-down procedures for this drive, other than just cutting the power? I'm concerned about damaging the drive.

- Answer Hello! You can use it for video editing. Its a pretty fast drive but you could still get a little lag. You might look at the new SSD Crucial drives. They are even faster and Best Buy has them on sell. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/crucial-x6-se-4tb-external-usb-c-usb-a-portable-ssd-black/6457936.p?skuId=6457936. Also it depends you what computer you are using The new computers have USB 3 and Thunderbolt 4 which are way faster to work with the faster drives.

QuestionIs 58c too hot? I wanted to it use for recording and editing, (have it on all the time). I heard clicks, its light and it just gets hot. I just got it today Aug 25. All and all I'm just spooked by it all.

- Answer It will not work for XBox and PlayStation simultaneously. PlayStation 4 and PS5 will reformat the External HHD/SSD when plugged-in Externally. That means any XBox data/files will be erased.

- Answer I wish I would have seen this sooner, because I would have taken a photo of the packaging. It was packaged very well and delivered by a local driver that picks up the drive from a local store and delivers it in their personal vehicle to your door. This is great, because you don't have to worry about a warehouse delivery service throwing it around. I am an exclusive best buy member, so I dont know if this is the norm for deliveries or not, but I love it and will spend money there to keep that membership active. They also do same day delivery free with this membership. I pay nothing extra for it. It is based on how much you buy from them in a given year.

- Answer Make sure you plug it into the right side usb port of your ps4 or if you have a ps4 pro version plug it to the usb in the back of your ps4 pro. Hope that works
