Questionwill it work for the new xbox series x?

- Answer Yes, you can only play previous generation games off of it though. You can store SERIES X games on it so you don’t have to download them every time you delete to clear space. You just have to transfer the game back to the internal storage to play it.

- Answer Yes, it can be used to store Xbox Series X games but it will not play them; they would have to be transferred to the internal SSD first. Backwards Compatible games (Xbox, 360, Xbox One) can be played directly from this drive but will not take advantage of the faster loading times of the internal SSD.

QuestionJust got mine its maxing out transfer speeds at 30mbps this seems EXTREMELY SLOW compared to other drives I own and use including a 5 year old hard drive. I must be doing something wrong can anyone help?

- Answer Make sure everything is USB 3.0 and I would double check the model # to be sure. For some reason I had SLOW SPEED transferring a file that I didn't have the video codec for. Some techs would say drivers updated.

- Answer I am assuming you mean for running games directly from it on your gaming laptop? It will allow you and is pretty fast (that is how I use it). Is USB 3 (either via usb C or using the included USB-c to USB-A cable). Read speed and write speed is pretty fast (way faster than a regular HDD). The benefit of it is that is external. One thing I do notice is that it seems to disconnect sometimes (mostly when downloading things, it hasn't when playing a game though). If you are able and willing to open your laptop I recommend either updating the NVMe (if it has one, if it doesn't then install one (this is the fastest style of SDD you can get right now)) or an internal SATA drive.

- Answer Yes, BUT, according to this Digitaltrends article A quick Google search may lead you to believe you’re on the right path by formatting the entire drive with Extensible File Allocation Table, or exFAT. It’s a simpler, universal method if every file you store is less than 4GB in size. QuestionI have transferred large files to it, movie back ups and tv shows. It seems to go very fast but can feel the drive spinning fast in the drive. Is that normal to go faster with the higher transfer rate?

- Answer Yes, on my Mac i used Disk Utility to format in Fat32 and then transfer music and video to any platform. Just don't format in Mac OS extended. All should be good. Disk Utility is easy to use. In Utility folder.

- Answer The largest drive you can put on a Dish Hopper 3 / sling is 7 TB . so besides your 2 TB drive, you could add a WD 5TB external drive. You should use a external drive that has its own power supply, and use a powered USB Hub to connect both to the Hopper.

- Answer You would have to check on the transfer rate between your computer and the external. The specs might state one thing but reality is another. You would probably want to be sure you have a USB 3.0 port available on your computer as well.
