QuestionI was wondering about the new versions of Western Digital my book hard drives. I'm using Windows Vista OS and have several of the older version WD my book drives which work fine with Vista. So my question is are these new drives compatible with Vista?

QuestionAt WDC.com, if one clicks on "Products" > "External Storage", the first two shown (Top row, left to right) are "My Book (New)" and "My Book". Both are new (vs used), but the "new" one has a 3-year warranty and is formatted "exFAT". Which is this?

- Answer Exfat HDD compatible with Windows and Mac. By shuck do you mean shuffle it around or remove its covers? I would not recommend shuffling any drive around as their mechanisms are delicate. Re removing the outer cover, there are no visible external screws to open anything. You may need to pry the plastic or break it open. Hope this helps.
