• It can be connected to a hub.that is how I got mine hooked up.

• I seem to remember reading something about this when I was shopping for a backup system. This is a network drive, and I use it connected to the network port of my WiFi router. If your multiport hub is a network hub you should be able to do this, but if your hub is a USB hub I recommend against it.

• Mine is connected to a 16 port switch. Then5 port switch and finally the router.
