My recommendation is to first set it up on your Mac as your Time Machine backup, but before you do that use Disk Utility (already installed utility on your Mac) to partition the My Cloud Home drive so that a dedicated segment of the My Cloud Home drive is available for Time Machine backups and the rest can be used by your PC. You should be able to use Disk Utility over WiFi to do this, but you may find that as soon as your Mac discovers this drive on WiFi it may want to jump right into Time Machine and set it up as a backup drive before you can partition it. If that happens, connect the My Cloud Home drive to your Mac via USB and do your partition first, then connect it to your WiFI router and set up normally. And get the 4TB drive. If you’re backing up 2 computers things may get a little crowded with only 2TB.
