QuestionWhen performing a scheduled backup, if a file has been moved to a new folder, will it back up the new folder with file and remove the original file from the original stored folder OR keep it there resulting in 2 of the same files in 2 stored folders?

QuestionIf I buy two WDs external HD - My Passport A and B//If I save a file/folder to A will it automatically save it to B and the same, If I delete a file/folder from A will automatically delete on B? if not do you have some type of software that can make this?

- Answer Best Buy and Amazon sells type c flash drives that should work with any type c device such as a Samsung phone or your iPad Pro. I believe the highest they'll go should be 256gb or 512gb. If you need a terabyte or more, definitely look up external drives that are compatible with iOS. An external SSD is more recommendable because it's faster, just make sure it's compatible with iOS (the system within iphones and ipads)

- Answer Hello Lauren, Please be informed that the WD My Passport External drive comes preformatted in NTFS format for Windows OS, However, in order to use the drive for macOS you can reformat the drive with macOS supported HFS+J file system by using this link: https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3879 .In order to use the drive with both Windows and MacOS you need to reformat the drive to exFAT file format by referring to the link: https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20821 .Please be informed that reformatting is a data destructive process, please backup the data from the drive before reformatting it.-Need Help? - Answer May not have anything to do with your issue but when Windows 11 “ downloaded itself” I lost my E-drive totally. Had to purchase new E-drive before computer would recognize it.

- Answer You could check the web site but this rugged little drive is so simple you should not need it. Just plug it in and it should be ready to format if you are not a Windows user. I think it is preformatted for Windows but if you are using another OS just enter the command required to initialize the disk and format it. For instance "INITIALIZE /ERASE /STRUCTURE=5 $7$DNC6: NEW_USB_DISK" on the VMS operating system specifies that disk device number 6 on cluster node 7 USB controller C is to be erased and then formatted according to the On Disk Structure 5 format specification and labeled NEW_USB_DISK. Keep a hand full of these on hand and when a user complains about disk space just pop one in and add a quick two terabytes of disk space.

QuestionI recently purchased this & plugged it in used it to save my go pro videos. Next time I went to load more videos I got this message: USB DEVIE RECOGNIZED- The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.

- Answer Did you try reformatting the drive? Try a different USB port? Aggravating if you have to reformat with out being able to grab the files off of it.
