As long as your router has a USB connector, this drive can be attached to it. My suggestion is to connect it to a desktop computer and write to it that way. Have read that routers tend to have problems with USB drives connected.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Could work if you set it up as a shared drive on one of the PC's on your network. However that PC would have to remain powered up all the time in order to be accessible to all your other devices/computers. A better solution would be for you to spend a few extra dollars for a NAS device. Basically a stand-alone hard drive that attaches directly to your home network. And it has its own web-based admin GUI for setting up shared folders and user permissions for each share.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The drive would have to be attached to a computer. You should be able to share the drive so others can access it. You could also purchase a WD Personal Cloud Storage that has the wireless networking capability built in. That product will allow you to access if from multiple computers. That might be a better solution for your needs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, however consider a good router like a netgear nighthawk which supports this option
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, so long as you use a USB 3.0 Port. This is a Stand alone External Drive that still must be Connected to a Computer or other Media Device to access. This Drive performs very quick when needed, and the only limitations are what it is connected to, IE: the USB port and Device that connects to your Home Network.
