• It works thru a USB input so as long as your device can power it, it should work.

• Yes. I ordered my mine from Best Buy online. It stated Mac compatible and it was.

• Yes. Depending on whether or not you want to share the data with Windows PCs or not will determine if you want to re-format the drive. I'm a Mac user myself and I rarely purchase Mac specific drives because they usually cost more and I can simply re-format them using Disk Utility and download any manufacturer specific apps for the drive for the Mac OS from the manufacturer's website.
