If your software is up to date for the ps4, it should work. I installed this on a day one ps4 console recently. No problems at all.

Please try again later.3.0 is new type,but still work with old 2.0 port just reduce speed.Pretty sure much if your using something doesn't allow 3.0 u get less then best out of w/e device is 3.0. A lot of the stuff you buy/have are prob 3.0 if you have bought them here recently just lose out getting 100% of items worth.It won't effect it purpose.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe there is a workaround to this online? Even with the PS4 Pro you have to go into the settings and modify the settings to allow for the external hard drive
