“Is this a good item for backing up photos? I am looking for an external hard drive to back up several photos and videos and am trying to make sure i am making a good decision on which to purchase. Thanks very much”

• Yes this is very good for storing pictures. BUT if you have a lot of pictures this is okay but if you have little get a lower storage. Also this backups pictures very fast due to USB 3.0 (if your pc supports it)

• I use one of these drives for sole purpose of photo backup. Works great. Can hook up directly to USB port on Samsung TV to look at photos also.
