I believe it is. I don't work for best buy so don't quote me but if it doesn't u can always return it within 15 day. I use that return policy a lot to test and make sure the device offers everything I need before committing to my purchase.

Yes it works with XP as long as your PC USB port has new enough drivers.

Yes. But I don't think XP supports USB 3.0. Or more accurately, XP wasn't installed on computers when 3.0 was introduced. USB 3,0 is a Win7 and after type of technology.

Yes, the project I am on is backing up XP machines, upgrading them to Win7 then restoring the data. These drives are PERFECT.
