• It will have a hdd in the enclosure, but will have to be formatted to match the PS4's HDD. So search forums for a guide before you gut it.

• Yes but so so does the ps4. You'll just have to plug in the hard drive and you'll be able to reformat the external to run with the ps4. If there are any other problems Google will be able to help you.

• You can dismantle it but the warranty will be voided if you do that. It most likely has a laptop drive inside.

• You don't need to dismantle the external to use on your console. Just connect it through the USB and it works just fine.

• The Internal drive of this unit is a standard desktop hard drive. It will contain SATA connections so just check in advance whether PS4 will allow for that type of drive or IDE.
