• Yes it does. I use it with Ubuntu Linux. It comes formatted in ntfs and linux will recognize it right away as a drive and you can copy files to/from it. It comes with backup utility software that is for Windows and Mac only but that is no big deal because I am sure you can get a similar backup software for linux for free.
