“Warranty I am from India and my cousin is from the USA and he gifted me this drive that he bought.. i wanted to know if i can service this thing in India because it has died on me here in INDIA?”

If the unit was purchased in the United States and you are currently in India, you will need to contact WD Support to have the warranty region updated to the correct region.
