It is Sata connection
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think by asking this question you are wondering if you can remove the drive from the enclosure and possibly use it in a laptop?? I am not sure about this drive..but I know that the larger drive enclosures (WD,Seagate, etc) that usually need a power adapter can be removed and installed barebones into a desktop computer...good luck on the warranty claim if it fails though.I did this a few times, for some unknown reason internal hard drives are most of the time more expensive than external...so got a external removed it from the external case/enclosure and installed inside my desktop

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The drive is pretty well sealed with only the USB3 port available. No idea about the internal connection and I'm not going to rip mine open.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine is a USB 3.0, comes with a short cable. It is compatible with slower USB but is amazing on my new laptop.
