Q: QuestionI have an older Whirlpool model GT4175SPB manufactured in 2004. Is there a microwave that is compatible with my existing trim Kit Model MK117XP? And can you tell me if that model is 1.7 or 2.2 CU FT?

Q: QuestionI just used this new microwave for the first time but the following day the time was not displaying properly. I unplugged and replugged and it’s displaying 80:00 and the buttons don’t function. Did I get a lemon? Am I missing something? Do I reset it?

Q: QuestionI currently have a KCMS1555SSS from Kitchenaid that is no longer working. I wanted to replace with Whirlppool wmc30516as but wanted to ensure that the current trim kit will work -- this new microwave is 1/2 taller.

• A:Answer Try the KitchenAid MK2167 trim kit for their model KMCS1016GSS. Whirlpool makes KitchenAid so it's the exact same unit except for the front face design and the price, of course.

• A:Answer The generic MK2167 trim kit BestBuy sells is plastic with a foil-thick veneer of stainless steel on the front. It does require an opening of 17 1/8", and enlarging the opening is not a job for the faint-hearted or unskilled. Furthermore, it doesn't fit well and has a significant amount of open space around the oven. Despite installing the included support rails using factory-drilled mounting holes, our oven does not sit squarely within the frame and is slightly recessed within the space, not flush with the surface. Let's just say I am far from delighted and do not recommend this trim kit, primarily for its flimsy quality. It looks and feels cheap.

Q: QuestionI have a built in space to house a countertop microwave that is 12.75" high. I see that this microwave is listed at 13" high. Does that include height of the feet on the bottom? If so, could they be removed to make the overall unit height 12.75" or less?
