• Hello EDMKM, this model weighs 96 1/2 pounds. It can be placed on its side. However, we do recommend placing it upright for a full 24 hours before plugging it in. We hope this helps.

• Like a Refrigerator, it needs to be transported upright. It's not too heavy, two people can easily carry it.
