• A:Answer Yes, and it is very quiet. At least I can't hear it move because the entire microwave is LOUD. It sounds like someone is being electrocuted when it is turned on. Popcorn? Sure, but only use power setting 9 at most unless you like burnt popcorn. I regret purchasing this beast. The Whirlpool model I purchased over my stove top is fantastic but this Whirlpool model stinks.
