Are the knobs made out of stainless steel? null

No, my knobs were NOT stainless steel and one has already started to have a melting spot on the front of it from the pan touching it and I've only had it installed a few months! The design of this product and where the knobs are located, does not allow much room for large pots or pans at the front because they hang over and touch the knobs. I have to cook to the side.
