“The Whirlpool mfr website gives measurement as 26 inch depth, whereas retailer sites give depth of 26.5. Given I have an older home with a VERY narrow doorway and we have precisely 26.5 inches, it's really important to know what the true measurement is!”

ActualDepth, the actual depth of the washer is 26". this information can also be found on page 5 of the Installation Instructions, https://www.whirlpool.com/content/dam/global/documents/201603/installation-instructions-W10848819-RevA.pdf.
