Questionwant to put in well house temp is 115 to 120 in middle of summer will this hurt anything

- Answer Although the ice maker is insulated, it does not keep the ice it makes frozen. Keeping the unit in a space with high heat conditions will cause the ice to melt at a fast pace. QuestionWe have this same model at David Ellis Academy West in Redford MI. One day it just stopped producing ice?? I made sure that the water supply line was not clogged. What else cld stop it frm making ice? PS. Is thr a service man in my area to chk it out?

QuestionCan I place this unit in a cabinet if it has a few inches around and above it? It has a door ... it’s a traditional under kitchen cabinet.

- Answer I would not put it in an enclosed cabinet. The compressor gives off some heat that would not be conducive to being enclosed.

- Answer Yes it needs a drain. Since I did not have a drain near where I wanted, I bought a Little Giant pump that automatically pumps water when it is filled. I then pump the water up and into a vent pipe. If you are in a cold climate area like we are, just put the drain hose under the insulation to assure it does not freeze up. The Little Giant pump can be found on Amazon for under $50. This ice maker is incredible fast at delivering ice. I have found it well worth the investment.

- Answer Yes. But the machine is louder making new ice than was expected. We put it in an office kitchen and it took a while to get used to it.

- Answer This does connect to a water line ...and always put a separate water filter..I used a Woder 10000 gallon filter ...ice is perfect!

- Answer Clear ice is determined by the type of water used and the freezing process. It is recommended to use distilled water for clearer ice. Due to how quickly portable ice makers freeze, the ice may be cloudy based on how much air is trapped in the cube during the freezing process. Please note that without proper clearance and circulated airflow around the vents, the unit may not operate properly. Built in application is not recommended. Choose a well ventilated area with temperatures above 50°F and below 90°F.   This unit operates in a gravity drain system which clears excess water from the ice maker to ensure a continuous supply of ice. A water drain hose is provided with this unit, where you firmly attach the drain hose to the drain outlet.
