• It comes with a good long cable, about 15-20 feet. It is very thin. I think anything you to try to hide it would make it look worse.

• You might be able to substitute a separately-purchased cable for greater length. As for disguising it, there are a number of options: run it along an edge of the ceiling or floor, paint it the same color as the background (or use tape), put it behind furniture, or even drill a hole in the wall and run the cable behind the wall (they make special equipment to make this easier).
