A:Answer The installation kit includes a square clear film that must be applied to the glass before mounting, and then you can mount it using the adhesive on the base of the dashcam, which, as I can tell you from my experience, is so strong that it won't fall off even if you try to remove it. I live in South Texas, too, and I bought it in January, and it worked perfectly until mid-March. As soon as the temperature outside hits 80°, the dashcam goes on and off after about 30 minutes and won't turn on until it has cooled down.
