QuestionWhat should I expect for battery life? I'd hate to go on vacation for a couple of weeks and come back to a dead battery condition. What does one do if one is locked out by dead batteries?

- Answer If the batteries are dead you can give the lock a quick charge by placing a 9 volt battery under the keypad. there is an obvious place for it.

QuestionIs it noisy when it opens and closes? My previous experience from a different product is it made a loud mechanical noise as it unlocked or locked the door.

- Answer No, the deadbolt is beveled and aligning it is very easy. It literally is so quiet during actuation that at times I have to look to be sure it has latched. The auto lock feature (place your hand over the keypad as you leave) can be set to play a sound when the deadbolt is in place. This is a great piece of hardware!

QuestionHow do I remove cover to replace batteries?

- Answer The battery cover is the larger cover on the inside of the door. There is a small screw hole at the top, remove that and the cover comes off exposing the batteries for an easy replacement.

- Answer No, not that I'm aware of. Multiple codes, but no scheduling built within the app itself. Not sure if there is some other way to do this using IFTT (If this then that), but again not within the app/lock itself.

- Answer The instructions are here. It is the PIN Code programming section. Depending on where you are in the setup (have you set a Master PIN) etc it is hard to say. - Answer This lock does not work with the Ring Doorbell. It does work with August Doorbells. The Yale T1L Lock with Z-Wave (YRD120-ZW), available on Bestbuy.com, works with Ring Alarm.

- Answer No, this lock does not work with Xfinity. The Yale Assure Lock with Zigbee works with Xfinity.
