- Answer So I'm custom making mine; the back has 2 options one for flush mount, and one for angled arm mount and a male end screw goes into the female end on the back of speaker. Pictures are not working.

- Answer You don't necessarily need a receiver, but if you don;t use a receiver, you need some kind of amplifier

- Answer If you receiver is the same watts, then you Yamaha speaker yes, if are more power full you receiver, you gonna burn you speakers, and if is less watts just done gonna have good audio.

- Answer I would get wired speakers cause your going to get a cleaner sound, I would get it with a subwoofer because the voices will dominate the other speakers making it easier to here what they are saying.

- Answer These speakers are designed to be connected to an Amp/receiver. They are not stand alone nor do they function without a Receiver.

QuestionWould this be compatible with Yamaha RX-V581 7.2 receiver? I need a set of speakers for the indoors.. I have two outdoor speakers that I want to hook to the v581. If these use 2 of the channels i presume this 5.1 600 w system could use the other 5?

- Answer William I am new to buying audio. I just bought these speakers two weeks ago and so far they seem work fine with my Denon-AVR-2112CI (https://www.crutchfield.com/S-2bTZjntJ5lY/p_033AV2112C/Denon-AVR-2112CI.html - 90 watts per channel into an 8 ohms (20-20,000 hz)) After asking questions from a bunch of people ulimatly I based my purchase on the comapatability of the ohms, wattage and just how loud I thought I might actually try to play them. I needed a replacment sub woofer and and two rear speakers. I am using Polk Audio - 5-1/4" Bookshelf Speakers - Pair for the Front at the moment , I plan to swich out for the outside later. So I don't see why they should not work for you. I know this does not answer your question but I just wanted to give you another perspective from someone who is looking to doa simular set up

QuestionDuring the setup I could hear sound coming from each speaker, now I cut the TV on and no sound from rear speakers. On the display it only shows center and front speakers. How do I get sound to come from the rear speakers.

- Answer It sounds like you are watching Stereo broadcasts now. So you will only get 2 channels (your front 2 speakers) distributing sound. If your source is 5 channels, then you will get the rear speakers and centre speaker distributing sound. If your type of receiver is capable, you could simulate surround sound by activating a decoder on your receiver (for this you would have to read your manual).
