• There is a connection (pre out) for a subwoofer which means you need a powered subwoofer

• Yes, this has a subwoofer connection.

• We used the subwoofer as a passthru. In other words, the front speakers feed into the subwoofer and then (both) out to the amp unit. Produces fantastic sound.
