“Hook Up Home Theater Reciever with ATT U-Verse Wireless for proper sound sync??? I have ATT U-Verse Wireless TV. I have a system now that is ready to be replaced so I'm looking for a reasonably priced BUT good unit I can connect to my existing speakers (mounted in the walls). How can this system be connected to properly work with wireless TV? NOW, the sound is off a little (1-2 seconds). My (new) TV has sound balancing, but not working with this wireless setup. NOW, the wireless box connects HDMI to the receiver, then the speakers connect direct from it. Also, the receiver connect direct HDMI to the TV. ATT wants $$$ to come connect it for me. Can someone answer this for me or do I need to call U-Verse???”

This sounds a little crazy, but I have ATT U-verse as well and all you need to do is ADD component hook-up (red, blue, and green wires) between the cable box and TV, and an Optical connection from TV to the cable box as well, then set the TV INPUT to COMPONENT (on the TV's menu) and you should be all set. You will not need the HDMI connection between cable box and receiver, and I would suggest that you disconnect it unless you want to re-set the TV's INPUT to COMPONENT every time you change the input on the receiver to "TV"
