• I think it's possible to do most what you want. The remote seems to be programmable, but it might lack certain functionality depending on exactly what you want to do. You're better off buying a high-end programmable remote if you just want one control for all of your devices.

• The remote operates everything except our cable box. You can purchase a remote that will operate everything, including the cable box at Best Buy.

• I can tell you that you won't be able to operate Netflix from this remote. To operate the TV, bluray player, etc, you would have to configure them, which can get a bit tricky.

• 4 HDMI inputs. I have Dish, Blueray, and Apple TV hooked up.
