A:AnswerI thought PCM was pure bits... However, if this helps, I had to play with the SPDIF Output setting on my DVD to get sound, and it played on both PCM and "RAW".
A:AnswerThis receiver has no phono input. If your turntable has a USB output it has a built-in preamp.
You may have to buy an external phono amplifier for <$50 and up.
A:AnswerNO YOU WILL BLOW UP THE UNIT !!!!!!!!! IT IS 120 VOLTS AC UNLESS YOU LIVE IN THE UK THEN YOU WILL NEED A CONVERTER PLUG. 120V IS 120V & 230V IS 230V
A:AnswerAbsolutely!
This thing defaults to 8-ohm, and I'm using even older Cambridge-made Acoustic Research speakers for the front channels.
(Plus, it's nominal max power rating is 100Watts...) Go for it.
A:AnswerNo only wired speakers. The Bluetooth option is just one of the inputs to connect your phone or other sound source to it like a Bluetooth speaker. You cannot connect bluetooth speakers directly to this receiver.
A:AnswerOnce you have made your choices for various input-types, it DOES automatically switch between Dolby Digital Surround and either ProLogicI or II or DTS or 2CH or 5CH Stereo when the incoming programming changes... E.G. A mono or pure stereo movie will be the latter, while a modern commercial will switch to full surround. Hope this answers your question.
