“Is there a setting or option to turn on the TV (and cable box) ONLY without turning on the receiver first? I have all hooked up exactly as shown on the included chart, HDMI, ARC, all new cables, etc.”

• you could use the remotes that came with the tv and cable box to turn those by them selves. If everything is hooked up through the receiver nothing will work though until the receiver is powered up and on the right input.
