• Page 111 in the manual specifies how to change from 8 ohm to 6 ohm. According to the manual when you select 6 ohm you can also use 4-ohm speakers as the front speakers. You download a manual at the Yamaha web site.

• It automatically senses it. I am running 4ohm speakers and have no problems.

• you cant it can only be switched to 6 or 8 ohms. it defaults at 8
