Yes it still fits. The docking station connects on the side
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This screen protector will not interfere with the dock, as the surface attached to the dock from the side.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it fits perfectly into the docking station still. This cover is extremely thin and you wont notice it protruding out in any way. It is a great design.

I had Best Buy install the Zagg protector. Using the Surface in the docking station I noticed that the Surface only charged intermittently - the charge indicator on the Surface would not show it being charged and the light on the docking station would not come on when it was docked. At first I thought maybe the Surface was designed to not charge in the docking station unless the battery level dropped below a certain point. However, when I plugged the charger in that came with the Surface it would charge no matter what the level was. Was the docking station defective? I searched the net for others who were experiencing the problem of the Surface not charging while docked and found that it was being talked about back in August of '14. I spent 45 minutes talking with Microsoft customer support before they told me to take the docking station back to Best Buy for an exchange. But, I wasn't convinced that the docking station was bad. I continued brainstorming. While the Surface is docked, the keyboard can be positioned either flat or folded up about half an inch to give the keyboard a bit of a slant. In that position, the bottom edge of the Surface is not visible when docking because the keyboard covers the bottom edge. It wasn't until I pulled the keyboard down flat that I noticed the screen protector was hanging up on the docking station about a 1/16" which was preventing the charging contact points to connect with Surface - keeping it from charging - even though it appeared to be docked. The protector is just thick enough (too thick) to prevent it from easily sliding fully into the dock. The screen protector, hanging up on the docking station, has caused the protector to no longer lay completely against the screen of the Surface on the lower right hand corner - it isn't pealing back, it is just not laying completely against the glass. So, moral of the story, if you get the screen protector, pay close attention to clearing the tabs at the base the docking station as you slide it in. Tip the top of the Surface toward you so the bottom edge of the screen protector can clear the tabs of the docking station. If the light on the station doesn't come on, check to make sure the edge of the protector hasn't hung up. It can hang up and still allow the sides of the docking station to compress together and appear docked when it is not, preventing it from charging. Sorry for the novella.
