No. This is a film type protector. It is not tempered glass and would not protect the screen if something heavy were dropped on it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's a fairly thin protector, and flexible. I've never dropped anything on my tablet or dropped the tablet itself but I sincerely doubt that this product would keep it from being damaged if I ever did.

It may absorb a small impact, but from experience I would not trust any 'shield' to protect from something dropped on it, you would need a case which provides a hardshell cover so that when closed the screen would be safe from drops
