Q: Will I see more bars when I put a Reach Antenna on my iPhone 6?
A: Not really. The dots showing signal strength are quite arbitrary and too granular to show a 1.5x performance increase. A 1.5 times increase in signal is a 1.76 dB increase in decibels (10*log10(1.5)). To see this you need to enable the field test mode (just do a search on this to do that). Then the phone shows dBm (decibel milliwatts). -112 is weak, -92 is good, and -82 is great. Then you need to go to several locations and measure power with and without the Reach antenna on. I did this and found it difficult to observe any increase. Truth be told, 2 dB is still a bit too fine to measure. I found the phone only showed 3 dB changes, which is 2x.
Q: Can I use the iphone 6 (not puls) with an iphone 5?
A: No, every version of Reach Antenna is custom-engineered to fit a specific phone model and work specifically with the unique antenna structure of that phone. We are working on a Reach Antenna for the iPhone 5/5s and expect to have it available at Best Buy soon. Q: how will the reachAntenna work in a very weak signal area?
A: It will boost your signal. Even in the far out reaches of your phone carriers area.
A: Currently Reach Antenna is only available for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. We are working on solutions for the newest Samsung Galaxy models and expect to have them available this summer. Q: Will the ReachAntenna work with external battery cases?
A: Reach Antenna is designed to work with most cases as long as they do not contain metal. Battery cases contain metal and we do not suggest using it with them.
Q: Will the Reachantenna for the iphone 6/6s work for an Iphone 7 since they are the same size?
A: We did some redesigns for the Antenna for the iPhone 7. Please make sure to use the ReachAntenna for iPh6/6s/7 to ensure that you have the correct design that will work with your iPhone 7. Thanks!
