A: Absolutely! I've done this twice, once on my car and once on my wife's SUV. Both times I purchased the camera from somewhere else and purchased the Camera install from bestbuy.com. However, be careful if you're doing a mirror install, the 4-5 installers I've dealt with for various installs will refuse to do a mirror. However, I was allowed to purchase the regular install and mount the mirror monitor myself.
A: i own a 19 year old f150 that had stock radio and no rear camera...had a shell put on a cant see my rear at all. The Best Buy group installed new blue tooth radio with back up camera and works incredible! They did the job faster than expected and all programmed perfect from the get go.
