Does exactly what it should

After upgrading my TV, I refused to purchase a new home theater package if nothing was wrong with the one that I already have. This works perfectly along with the Optical cable.

Other than that, plan on replacing it at least once a year. I've bought probably five of these by now. I use it after a signal splitter to feed a second amplifier for in-wall and outdoor speakers.

Keep the receiver and buy the conveter. Save your money saved for renting the DVDS
