This microwave is awesome! I had never used a sensor cook microwave before and will probably never go back. Foods cook so much better with this microwave! Only reason I'm not giving this 5 full stars is because I ordered it May 30th and didn't get it until August 22nd, nearly 3 months later, AND I had to call GE directly to find out why such a long delay. I really don't know why Best Buy customer service couldn't just tell me.

This Microwave replaces a GE spacesaver model from 1999 and uses a similar mounting system and screw locations thereby saving time on installation. The mounting bracket provided is far inferior to the existing bracket so I threw it away andf used the old one. Installation was quick, easy and didn't require any cutting of the cabinets. The Microwave itself works as designed, heats food similar to the prior model and has a better blower for the vent. It even comes with a carbon filter to kill food odors which is an improvement. The under counter light is in the rear of the unit and should be placed near the front to light into pots. It lights the wall well but not where you need it. The control buttons will take a little getting used to as their lettering is grey as opposed to white on a black background and can be difficult to see. The features are basic (no temp sensor probe, message console or fancy functions which rarely got used) and work as expected. A good overall unit that should last the next 15-20 years. Thanks GE !

I bought this microwave off the shelf (discounted price) it was dented but I was putting it in between 2 cabinets so it didn’t matter to me. But it works great I would pay full price to replace it it’s worth it.

This product was bought to replace another microwave that had stop working. Don't assume that the installation holes in the wall used by the old microwave will work for the new microwave because they probably won't be the same, so be prepared to drill holes. And be very careful when measuring. You can't be sloppy when measuring. A 16th of an inch means a lot. So far the unit is working fine.

Works great. Nothing fancy about it...but that's what we wanted. A microwave.

A couple of points. For years, GE OTR microwaves used the same mounting bracket and screw holes lined up perfectly. Not any more. The bracket is a newer design (less metal) and hooks into the back rear of the oven in different places. Similarly, the top bolts that hold the front of the oven to the cabinet are in different places. If you were looking for an easy swap and picking GE (Haier - China) for that reason, think again. The unit looks sharp when mounted and it appears that the black stainless will be better with fingerprints.

Easy installation, quiet, great quick settings, precise cooking for select food, Should have come with instructions, had to download them.

It's a better microwave than a lot of the more expensive ones. This above the range microwave was easy to install and easy to use. I definitely would recommend this microwave if you are shopping for one.

Not only does it look great but it works well. As always, read the instructions first. We had the microwave installed by Best Buy and they did a great job. Sure am glad I used them.

Our microwave quit working after only five years, and we were left with the task of finding one that would be comparable in size and features to replace it. After much research we found this GE microwave that was almost exactly the same size, with basically the same features. It was an easy install for me and my wife. It has been working great so far, and we hope that it will give us many years of service.
