Replaced to match color of our new stove. Unfortunately a BIG mistake as this unit started to show signs of trouble before reaching it’s second anniversary, and as of this past weekend no longer heats. What gives GE, should I have bought one of your competitors instead?

GE Over the Range Microwave

See reviews that this model has a history of this malfunction. Cheaper to purchase a replacement since the price has doubled on this current model.

My last microwave lasted 13 years. Unit started smoking and caused all the smoke detectors in the house to go off. No visible burning inside, I will have to disassemble to find cause of smoke.

The microwave has a 12 month warranty, but after speaking to GE customer service "cosmetic issues" are not covered. So this must be what GE expects from their products. I will not be purchasing another product from GE.

Less than year... The sensors and design appear to be very flawed in this unit. Whatever you do, don't cook a baked potato, something went every time I tried to cook one for 10 minutes.
