Came in just in time for stocking up! Easy seeing what you put in and the temperature is outside in front of me. I can see if I need to control the temperature.

This freezer is amazing! You can adjust the temperature to refrigerate temperature, or keep it of freezer temperature.

Do not buy this item if you plan on using it as a refrigerator. Even when set at 35 degrees, which is the lowest fridge temperature setting available, it will not cool to 35 degrees. I have had two units that did the same thing. The first went back on warranty replacement and the second is performing exactly the same way and will need to go back too. At the 35 degree setting, the actual temperature ranges from 41 to 45 degrees, which is too warm for a fridge. Don't forget, THE TEMPERATURE YOU SEE ON THE FRONT OF THE UNIT WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR IS THE SETTING, NOT THE ACTUAL TEMPERATURE. You need to get a thermometer that goes in the fridge to check the actual temperature. The food seemed warm compared to my GE fridge so I actually got two thermometers to check the Insignia unit, just to make sure there wasn't an error. Both read in the danger zone. I have a second identical Insignia Convertible fridge/freezer that I use as a freezer. Its cooling is not accurate either, but it is not as critical. I set it for minus 5 degrees and it ranges between minus 3 to plus 2 degrees. I would guess that there is a general problem in the control system of these units, but instead of getting a service adjustment when you call for warranty work, you get a whole new fridge/freezer with all the same problems as the last new fridge/freezer.

Looks great in my kitchen! This freezer is the perfect size to hold my garden vegetables for the coming winter. Easy to set up and use.

I'm going to stay away from Insignia products. I got this freezer just over a year ago, and it completely stopped working at 15th month - right after the 1-year warranty expired. And the best part? Thanksgiving is next week! I've got a box of snow crab legs and other meat. All of them are ruined when I come home from weekend. When I contacted Best Buy support, they were completely unhelpful and offered no reasonable solution. It feels like a waste of money and trust. I won’t be buying Insignia appliances again.
