Can select to use as a refrigerator or freezer. On door, external, temperature gauge and controls. Using as a freezer in the garage; garage rating adds insulation uses less energy. Totally please with the Insignia Best Best brand.

Rather than attempt to get it fixed, we decided to reinvest the money in this one. We already had one of these that we purchased in 2018 to replace the garage refrigerator, and we've never had a problem. I'm not sure we even have a significant scratch on it, despite the kids parking bikes and dropping sports equipment in front of it. I read a lot of the reviews online before we bought the newer model and I can attest, the seal on the door is very strong! Some might view that as a negative, but I think it clearly does a good job of retaining the energy so you don't waste money. We had no problems with freezing anything on any of the shelves (we've never used the other one as a freezer, so this was a first for us), which is something else I read. I was impressed with how fast everything froze. Overall, I'd clearly buy this again, since we've had success owing a very similar model for 7 years now. Lastly, I've never had a problem with the door handles, but it will be interesting to see if the newer one breaks given how tight the door seal is.

It's big enough for a family of 6, easy to flip between freeze and fridge functions, AND I can pick my own temperature. We are very happy to have this! Word of advice -- measure your door openings everywhere! Including screen door! We picked this fridge in our store, and it was such an easy task, I was done within 5 minutes of arrival! Love this fridge and the company that sells it.
