Found the Insignia 4-port hub with USB-C connection, it made the transfer simple and quick.

New Port is Great!

I connect it to a large monitor, and Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I needed this to be able to continue working as I as used to because of course the connections have changed from my old laptop setup. Plugged it right in and it all worked beautifully for a very reasonable price.

For example, when I use the USB hub to attach my DVD/CD player; it does not work. Instead I have to "plug" the DVD player into a direct port on my mini Mac. On the other hand, my logitech webcam works just fine when attached to the hub. I guess I should have realized this before purchase, but this is clearly not my expertise.

Out of USB ports? No problem

Because of this, I reached the unfortunate point of "running out of space" for any additions. However, this hub allowed me to take advantage of this unused USB C port and run even more to the back of my PC. It works well, and you don't compromise much. I'd recommend plugging your key peripherals (keyboard, mouse, external SSD) to the motherboard directly for maximum performance, but even attaching them to this wouldn't compromise much. Can't recommend enough!
