You can even use a usb type A to type C cable to connect it to a mac or other USB C device. It doesnt even require the USB C port be used as long as your devices arent pulling too much power draw.

A great accessory for my WFH setup so that i can use the same keyboard, mouse, and whatever other usb devices i want to have on both machines. I didnt need the extra power cable.

The only drawback is that there's an option to plug in a USB C power cord but the device does not come with one so I used my extra Apple laptop charger
